Our Story

I was one of the lucky ones! In elementary school my parents made the bold decision to put me in a French Immersion program. French Immersion was rare in the '90's. I didn't understand why I had to take a long bus ride to a different school or why my parents couldn't help me with my home work. As a young student I don't think I appreciated the profound impact that French Immersion would have on my life.

Learning a second language instilled a cultural curiosity in me and a desire to explore the world. After high school I moved to Europe where I developed many relationships with international students from France, and found myself speaking French every day.

I have lived on three continents and formerly studied six languages since then. I don't know if I would have found the same passion and enthusiasm to grow, develop and explore the world had my parents not put me in French Immersion when I was a child. Thanks Mom and Dad!

I later completed a Bilingual Bachelor's of Economics from York University's French school, Glendon College. My first formal role as a youth teacher was in 2013, at the Scwartz/Reizman Centre. Here I taught French to classes of 4th and 6th graders for several years, and fostered a passion for mentorship.

My goal in developing French Help is to share my passion for languages and educational excellence with the next generation of bilingual Canadian students. French Help is committed to providing our students with the tools and keys they need to realize their full potential. Together we will work hard, overcome challenges and develop the skills needed to achieve great things!
